Market Research Manager

Reports to: SVP, Sales & Marketing

Location: 3751 Victoria Park Avenue

Overall responsibilities

The Market Research Manager is responsible for undertaking the development, planning and execution of all aspects of the market research process across Great Gulf. The Market Research Manager will provide support and partner with our Marketing and Development teams to develop key information on industry intel, future projects and competitors as well as doing competitive analysis of the construction and development industry. The Market Research Manager will be at the heart of the construction industry, capturing market-critical information that enables our team to make informed high impact business decisions.

Position responsibilities

  • Generate Customer Satisfaction Surveys and develop recommendations based on analysis
  • Prepare (or assist 3rd party) feasibility studies for all development sites
  • Research markets outside the Greater Toronto Area, source external data and conduct ad-hoc research for individual site feasibility studies
  • Aggregate and analyse large data sets on new/resale/rental condo markets in the Greater Toronto Area to identify key trends
  • Prepare written summaries effectively incorporating data visualization applications
  • Lead consulting assignments and feasibility studies from start to end, including formulating site-specific recommendations
  • Stay on top of and dissect the latest market and policy related trends impacting the residential real estate industry in Toronto and other key markets as directed
  • Take pride in managing and updating our business development tracking application (CRM) salesforce and reports
  • Jump in and assist our marketing and development teams by gathering competitive intelligence on the local construction industry, future projects, clients and competitors
  • Get creative to develop and distribute a weekly competitive intelligence report covering relevant information in the construction industry
  • Use your proactive approach to monitor news/publications for business development purposes
  • Dive into the details to analyze data and make recommendations based on findings
  • Effectively build, support and maintain mutually beneficial relationships within the organization
  • Other duties as assigned by the SVP, Sales & Marketing

Qualifications

  • Four (4) + years of experience in market research analysis is required;
  • Construction, development or corporate real estate experience is a plus;
  • A post-secondary degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Architecture or Economics;
  • A proven track record in conducting primary and secondary market research and analysis;
  • Experience with developing and executing search methodologies;
  • Strong quantitative and qualitative analysis skills and experience;
  • The ability to acquire data from multiple sources and organize/catalogue research;
  • An ability to capture key data and present effectively;
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple responsibilities, changing priorities, and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced computer skills and a high proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel;
  • Knowledge of the Toronto market and ability to work throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
  • Willingness to travel within North America if required, with valid passport
