GREAT GULF RECOGNIZED BY CITY OF MISSISSAUGA URBAN DESIGN AWARDS FOR HOT CONDOS
Toronto, September 2016 – Great Gulf was recognized at the 34TH Mississauga Urban Design Awards with Award of Merit for Innovations, Design and Street Visibility and Award of ‘Healthy by Design’ at a ceremony held Thursday September 22. This year’s theme, “Transformation by Design” honoured designs that showed how the city transformed through time over the years.
“We are proud to be recognized by the City of Mississauga and are deeply aligned with this community through our passion for public art and Great Gulf’s commitment to create the best architecturally designed buildings that bring life to neighbourhoods. HOT Condominiums, featuring “Heaven and Earth” sculpture builds a strong presence bringing culture and energy to this vibrant area at an important intersection in Erin Mills,” said Great Gulf President Christopher Wein. “Our homes are built using the H+me Technology system, a holistic approach ensuring optimal performance and peace of mind.”
HOT Condos is a community of 3 residential buildings, 4-storeys each, at the corner of Winston Churchill Boulevard and Eglinton Avenue in the Erin Mills neighbourhood of Mississauga. Creating fine homes that complement their neighbourhoods has become a Great Gulf trademark. Each of the three buildings, designed by renowned Toronto architectural firm Quadrangle, feature architecturally coordinated elevations that are principally brick with striking panel accents. All exterior walls, interior partitions and the high performance flooring system are built in a controlled indoor environment using H+me Technology precision engineered manufacturing technology, providing greater precision and quality.
With H+ME Technology’s industry-leading innovation, we’ve changed the way we build and live in homes. H+ME Technology’s approach to home-building and dedication to design and process has helped make Great Gulf homes safer, more environmentally friendly, less hazardous and wasteful, sustainable, cost-efficient, and reliable. They are healthier, because we build them indoors which means weather elements don’t affect the structure.
